This book is inspiring. It is kind of peculiar, I guess that's why I like it so much.I'm the kind of person who feels worried about so many endangered species. Humans are responsible for this situation in many different ways. Sometimes directly killing the animals for fun, pleasure or its fur. Some others indirectly by destroying their habitat or introducing a new species in an ecosystem, making the current inhabitants an easy prey (eg. kakapo parrot).
Follow the links to learn more about every animal in the book or watch videos. It's really interesting. I've spent a nice evening reading the book, although it is a tragic subject.
I really wish this book helps to raise awareness. I know for example that the Spanish authorities have been trying to protect the Iberian lynx for more than three decades, to the point that it is considered an emblematic animal.
Many people don't give a d****, it's true. But I do. That why I want to say congratulations to the author. All my respect.

Using an informal, to-the-point writing style, Roger Thatt has made a list of endangered animals we can all relate to. My favorite is the Amur Leopard and I hope the organizations Roger mentions get enough funding and create enough awareness to increase their numbers. Reading this book gave me mixed feelings of sadness and of anger. I will build on the latter and donate to some of the organizations in the book.
While I'm heart-broken over the reality that we are losing (and have lost already) beautiful species of animals, bird, and fish...this is good information. Well done. A good, solid reminder. Great pictures, too.
Picked up this book because it was cheap and I was interested in learning more about these animals. The author does a good job at explaining each animal and why they are endangered.
Lots of the animals in this book you probably have never heard of, but it's still a good read.
My younger brother asked me to help him on his school assignment. This book was a great help, it saved us time for research about the most endangered animals on the planet. Informational book!
What I like about this book is the author's intention to raise continued awareness towards the decline of these special species of animals.
This book is a really eye-opening look into a problem that probably gets ignored by almost everyone you know. Just because humans are the dominant species on earth, doesn't mean that we should ignore the other creatures that inhabit it.
What I really loved about this book is that you could tell the author really has a passion for helping raise awareness that these animals will soon be extinct if we do nothing to change the course of events. I knew about some of these endangered animals, but I wasn't overly familiar with a lot of them. This book had great information about each species, along with helpful links and even links to youtube videos!
I feel like, at least with me, the author has done his job to increase awareness of these endangered animals. I hope more people get this book and educated themselves on what they can do to preserve the animals of our planet.
