Filled with hope, surrounded by death.
The infected are sweeping the Big Island of Hawaii, shady government contractors silence those seeking justice, and as the Necrose-7A virus spreads, Ben Chase fights hordes of the infected in a race to reach the mainland and save his mother. While facing the apocalypse, Ben discovers that family isn't all about blood, and friendships can threaten your life.
Dead Horde is the second book in the Necrose zombie apocalypse series.
Dead Horde Necrose Series Book Two (Audible Audio Edition) Tim Moon Maxwell Zener Beast Mountain Ltd Books
As my initial observation mentioned, it seems as though virtually every character spends considerable time on their butts! Can they NOT remember to look down at their feet or turn around to see what is behind them before running away blindly and, wait for it....Falling on their ass REPEATEDLY? AGAIN?!?
I know I am over reacting and being absurd a bit but, come on, now. REALLY? Tripping and falling REPEATEDLY as if it were a contest amongst themselves. Sheesh!
But all kidding aside I'm pretty sure that as the group, or even one or two, take out to explore some new place for supplies or to hide out, one would think there would be a discussion about: pick up your feet when walking; watch WHERE you step as often as possible under the circumstances; DON'T shout out, squeal or gasp LOUDLY when taken by surprise FAR more than the characters did.
Or DIDN'T in this book.
It just makes me think that there was an absence of common sense given the life and death situations they were in.
And along the same lines it was mentioned over and again that the best way to kill a zombie was to club it in the head, wrecking their brain pan, right?
Well, WTH didn't anybody pick up, oh, a STICK or a club or other stout defensive weaponry to give themselves some "stand off" ability as opposed to their bare hands, rocks, stomping on their heads when on the ground when stealth was of paramount importance?!?
It just seems like a "No Brainer " to me. (Pun intended.)
There are a few other minor idiosyncrasies and gaffe's here and there but nothing to dissuade a potential reader from otherwise enjoying these books and, that said, I'm looking forward to Book 3 so HURRY UP Mr. Author! LOL
All in all these are good books to read if you are intrigued by apocalyptic genre books as I am.
Oh, and to be clear, I DO NOT get comp'd any free books in response to getting them for "free." Which, BTW, HOW do "I" get in on a sweet gig to get FREE books as long as I give an honest review and appraisal of said books??
Inquiring minds wanna know. Or at least THIS one does! :-)

Dead Horde Necrose Series Book Two (Audible Audio Edition) Tim Moon Maxwell Zener Beast Mountain Ltd Books Reviews
Love this book
Did not want to put this book down. A must for those who enjoy this type of fiction. Sounded more realistic than most I have read.
Well written Zombie story line. Fun to read. Highly recommended.
I could not stop reading the two books! They both are exciting. Will not get bored while read it either one looking forward to book three
I loved the depth of the characters. Details of scenes were very descriptive.
Grammar was good with only a few errors noted. Leaves you wanting more.
Would hope the possible romantic possibilities for the main character were developed later.
I was asked to read this for an honest review. I'm a huge fan of the Zombie Genre so I jumped at the chance. Dead Horde continues the Necrose Series. The story goes between the main characters and new ones.
The majority is about what Ben and friends do as they struggle to safely get off the Hawaiian Islands and to the mainland. They encounter not just zombies but also a group taking advantage of no law.
The characters are trying to survive after breaking the news of who developed the virus but who unleashed it upon the world. They have are being chased for outing them. This I want read more about.
There's loss, fighting, mistrust, anger and acceptance. Not all is good in the new world. I look forward to exploring more in book three.
In this high-action thriller, Ben Chase and his friends are currently in a Quarantine Center in Hawaii. Though Ben needs to get to his mom in Washington state to assure she is okay, it's nearly an impossible task as all flights to the mainland have been cancelled. A new biological weapon had been developed ... Necrose-7A. Within 13-18 hours after a person has been infected, the individual turns into a war machine ... a manic creature who is aggressive and pursues humans to infect them with only a bite. Ben and his friends are considered refugees in their own country as they had not been infected. They would be moved to the small island of Molokai, the only uninfected island in Hawaii, but the airplane can't leave the ground as it is attacked before take off. Author Tim Moon has created a mesmerizing story. He knows how to please his readers. Like zombie stories? You'll love this one!
